The position of Part Time Front Desk Associate at FS Residential is a vital role focused on the smooth operation and resident engagement at residential building locations. This part-time role demands an individual who can work independently with minimal supervision, demonstrating strong communication, telephone, and customer service skills. The associate will be responsible for greeting residents, checking guests and service providers in and out of the building, monitoring emergency response protocols, and ensuring access control. They must be detail-oriented and capable of multitasking effectively while maintaining professionalism. The position also includes monitoring security systems and accurately maintaining various logs, records, and forms essential to daily operations.
Working Saturday and Sunday from 3 PM to 11 PM, the Front Desk Associate will play a critical role in ensuring the safety, security, and satisfaction of residents and visitors. The responsibilities include familiarity with fire alarm panels and basic knowledge of shutting off water to fire systems and individual units. The role favors bilingual candidates proficient in English and Spanish, reinforcing the emphasis on effective communication in diverse residential communities. Computer literacy, including basic knowledge of Excel and Microsoft Word, is crucial for preparing incident reports and performing record-keeping duties. The role requires a flexible and dependable individual who can remain on duty until a replacement arrives if necessary.

Job Requirements
- Minimum one year of front desk experience preferably in a residential building
- familiarity with fire alarm panels
- basic knowledge of shutting off water to the fire system
- basic understanding of shutting off water to individual units
- bilingual English/Spanish preferred
- strong situational awareness including monitoring cameras and following protocols for deliveries
- ability to remain professional and firm enforcing building policies
- limited cellphone use while assigned to the front desk
- computer literacy including ability to prepare incident reports using web browser or Microsoft Word
- basic Excel knowledge
- dependable and flexible including ability to remain on duty if relief is delayed
- dress code all black until uniforms are purchased
- stand each time a person comes to the desk
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalency preferred
- college level courses in business or hospitality preferred
- two to three years of business experience preferred
- computer literacy including command of information system hardware and software preferred
- effective written and verbal communication skills
- multiple language fluency desirable
- strong customer service, communication and interpersonal skills required
