Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in customer service preferred
  • basic knowledge or interest in fashion and sustainability
  • strong communication skills
  • ability to handle a fast-paced customer-facing role
  • proficiency in administrative tasks
  • availability for full-time work in NYC, Brooklyn, Long Island, Hoboken or Greenwich
  • entry-level or early career candidates welcome

Job Qualifications

  • Preferred experience in customer service roles
  • prior responsibilities in fashion industry and communications management desired
  • interest or experience in fashion and sustainability
  • working knowledge of garment construction
  • excellent communication skills

  • ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently

Job Duties

  • Maintain a professional, warm, welcoming office environment
  • greet all clients, manage check-ins, pickups and payment
  • answer all inbound calls to the Alteration Specialists Studio
  • manage all client bookings and appointments
  • process new transactions and ensure internal reporting is correct
  • order, track and manage office inventory, supplies and purchases
  • ensure all outsourced garments are tagged, distributed and delivered appropriately
  • manage the flow of fitting room processes and appointments
  • provide quick, warm, and on-brand customer communication across emails, calls and in-person
  • offer thoughtful and authentic recommendations to customers based on their needs
  • collect, organize, and track consumer feedback and communicate this to the team
  • contribute ideas to company policies for better customer experience
  • ensure all quality control checkpoints are consistently met for each garment
  • properly create and process tickets throughout the garment's lifecycle
  • record and document RFAs, refunds and process failures and brainstorm solutions
