The role being offered is a full-time, non-management position within the Rooms and Guest Services Operations category, located at 801 S Gadsden St, Tallahassee. This position is integral to the daily functioning of the hotel front desk and guest service operations. The key responsibilities include managing guest check-ins and check-outs efficiently, handling reservations, issuing room keys, and ensuring that all transactions are accurately processed within the hotel's computer systems. The role also involves addressing guest inquiries and concerns, coordinating with other departments such as housekeeping and bell services to ensure guests receive timely and effective service, and maintaining accurate records of daily operations via shift logs and reporting tools.
In addition to operational duties, the position requires a proactive approach to maintaining high standards of customer service. Job Duties
- Complete designated cashier and closing reports in the computer system
- review shift logs and document pertinent information in logbooks
- contact appropriate departments to resolve guest calls or problems
- process guest check-ins by confirming reservations and verifying guest identity
- sell rooms to guests without reservations based on availability
- ensure rates match market codes and document exceptions
- scan and charge outlet checks to guest rooms
- assist management with training, evaluating, and coaching employees
- serve as a role model for the Guarantee of Fair Treatment and Open Door Policy
- report accidents and unsafe conditions
- complete safety training
- follow company policies and maintain professional appearance
- welcome and acknowledge guests
