Job Description

Touchmark on South Hill stands as Spokane's premier full-service retirement community, renowned for its unwavering dedication to enriching the lives of residents and their families. Established on the foundational principles of ETHIC - Excellence, Teamwork, Hospitality, Integrity, and Compassion - Touchmark embodies these values in every interaction and service it provides. The community prides itself on offering five-star hospitality, comprehensive services, and top-tier amenities that foster a warm, welcoming, and supportive environment for older adults seeking a vibrant and secure place to live. The organization is deeply committed to creating a positive and enriching experience not just for its residents but also for its staff. At Touchmark, employees are more than just workers; they are allies, friends, and givers who play an essential role in shaping the daily lives and experiences of all who call the community home. This commitment to service and excellence makes Touchmark a distinguished leader in senior living in Spokane. We are currently seeking a dedicated Front Desk Receptionist to join our compassionate and dynamic team. This position is a vital link between residents, their families, staff, and visitors, serving as the welcoming face and voice of Touchmark on South Hill. The role is scheduled for the night shift, from 11:00 pm to 7:00 am, Sunday through Wednesday, with a starting wage ranging from $20 to $22.13 per hour. Additionally, after 90 days, employees working the night shift receive a $1 shift differential. In this role, the Front Desk Receptionist will be responsible for managing incoming calls and directing them appropriately, greeting visitors with warmth and professionalism, and providing a variety of services aimed at enhancing the residents’ experience. These services include scheduling transportation, managing guest room reservations, and coordinating life enrichment and dining sign-ups. The receptionist must also vigilantly monitor medical alert systems and respond according to established protocols, acting as a First Responder during emergencies. This critical responsibility requires not only attentiveness but also the ability to maintain calm and order during urgent situations. The role demands physical endurance and mobility, as the receptionist will cover the entire campus, including both interior and exterior grounds, which may involve prolonged periods of walking and standing. Moreover, the ability to operate company vehicles, including vans, trucks, and golf carts, is essential to efficiently navigate the campus and respond to any needs promptly. An ideal candidate for this position will exhibit an outgoing, warm, and friendly personality, possess a sincere interest in improving the lives of older adults, and demonstrate a strong commitment to teamwork, integrity, and positive attitudes. Candidates must be at least 18 years old, have a High School diploma or its equivalent, a valid Washington driver’s license with a clean driving record, and be willing to work weekends and holidays as necessary. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals who value safety, compassion, and empathy, and who aspire to contribute significantly to the well-being of a vibrant retirement community.
