The Front Desk Manager position at The Stanley Hotel is a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient daily operation of the front desk area. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum two years previous experience as a front desk supervisor or minimum four years front office experience
- Working knowledge of guest services and hotel policies
- Mathematical aptitude and knowledge of cash handling procedures
- Ability to stand and move around for long periods
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally
- Excellent communication and literacy skills
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum two years experience as a front desk supervisor or minimum four years front office experience in hotel work
- Working knowledge of guest services and hotel operations
- High school level mathematical aptitude
- Knowledge of cash handling procedures and computerized cash register systems
Job Duties
- Ensure guest arrival and departure procedures are accurately followed in a smooth and timely manner
- Ensure the front desk team regularly calculates and/or posts monies, receipts, guest accounts and other credit forms using proper cash handling methods and procedures
- Control cash transactions and maintain responsibility for personal bank as per hotel policy
- Assist and advise the Assistant General Manager with performance evaluations, discipline and terminations
- Coordinate group arrivals, departures, and guest transportation to maximize guest experience
- Foster good relations with valet and taxi services
- Provide information and recommend local restaurants, theaters, and events to guests
- Follow up on guest complaints promptly and professionally
- Implement emergency training and procedures for guest and staff safety
- Ensure all front desk associate duties are completed daily
