The Front Desk Manager position at The Stanley Hotel is a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient daily operation of the front desk area. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum two years previous experience as a front desk supervisor or minimum four years front office experience
  • Working knowledge of guest services and hotel policies
  • Mathematical aptitude and knowledge of cash handling procedures
  • Ability to stand and move around for long periods
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally
  • Excellent communication and literacy skills

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum two years experience as a front desk supervisor or minimum four years front office experience in hotel work
  • Working knowledge of guest services and hotel operations
  • High school level mathematical aptitude
  • Knowledge of cash handling procedures and computerized cash register systems

Job Duties

  • Ensure guest arrival and departure procedures are accurately followed in a smooth and timely manner
  • Ensure the front desk team regularly calculates and/or posts monies, receipts, guest accounts and other credit forms using proper cash handling methods and procedures
  • Control cash transactions and maintain responsibility for personal bank as per hotel policy
  • Assist and advise the Assistant General Manager with performance evaluations, discipline and terminations
  • Coordinate group arrivals, departures, and guest transportation to maximize guest experience
  • Foster good relations with valet and taxi services
  • Provide information and recommend local restaurants, theaters, and events to guests
  • Follow up on guest complaints promptly and professionally
  • Implement emergency training and procedures for guest and staff safety
  • Ensure all front desk associate duties are completed daily
