Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in hotel management, business administration or related field
- One or more years front office or guest services experience including supervisory experience
- Ability to stand frequently behind desk and front office areas
- Ability to use keyboard to operate property management and reservation systems
- Ability to carry, push, or lift items weighing up to 50 pounds
- Ability to handle objects, products and computer equipment
- Excellent communication skills for interaction with customers, employees and third parties
- Reading and writing ability for paperwork and management reports
- Mathematical skills including budgeting and profit/loss concepts
- Problem solving, reasoning, motivating, organizational and training skills
- May be required to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Hotel Management, Business Administration, or related field
- One or more years of front office or guest services experience including supervisory experience
- Fluency in English
- Other languages preferred
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to read, write, and complete reports accurately
- Proficiency in basic math, budgeting, and profit/loss concepts
- Demonstrated problem-solving, reasoning, and organizational abilities
- Experience in training and motivating staff
Job Duties
- Manage all aspects of front desk operations for assigned shift
- Schedule employees to ensure proper coverage
- Monitor performance and recommend/initiate corrective or disciplinary actions as needed
- Ensure staff are properly trained and equipped
- Provide prompt and professional guest service and handle complaints
- Implement service recovery actions for guest satisfaction
- Communicate VIP and special guest needs to staff and ensure follow-up
- Assist in managing labor costs and departmental goals
- Maximize hotel revenue through effective use of company systems
- Ensure security of financial transactions and guest safety
- Conduct inspections of front office and public areas
- Train staff on emergency communication procedures
- Promote teamwork and coordinate with other departments
- Interact with guests, regulatory agencies, and other external contacts
- Serve as manager on duty when required
- Perform other duties including assisting staff during peak periods
