The Front Desk Host role at Andaz Miami Beach is a vital position charged with ensuring guests experience a seamless and memorable stay. Acting as the face of Hyatt's hospitality, Front Desk Hosts manage the guest registration process meticulously, including check-ins, check-outs, room assignments, and processing payments. This front-facing role demands a warm and professional demeanor capable of managing guest inquiries, promoting hotel services and upsells, and providing comprehensive information regarding hotel amenities and promotions. The position also involves occasional support with PBX telephone operations and concierge functions, requiring adaptability and a collaborative attitude. Successful Front Desk Hosts thrive in a fast-paced environment, maintain excellent communication skills, and are skilled multitaskers who can address guest needs and resolve issues promptly. Job Requirements
- Diploma in hospitality or tourism management or relevant field
- Experience with front desk or guest service roles preferred
- Ability to speak a second language fluently considered an asset
- Proficiency in Reserve/Opera software
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite applications
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends, holidays, and overnight
- Physically able to stand or walk for long periods
- Strong time management and problem-solving abilities
- Professional appearance and demeanor
Job Qualifications
- Diploma in hospitality or tourism management or relevant field

Job Duties
- Greeting and thanking guests as per Forbes standards
- Perform all guest check-in and checkout procedures including obtaining or confirming guest information, assigning rooms, activating and distributing keys
- Posting charges to appropriate guest accounts and collect payment for room charges and other fees
- Make and confirm reservations for guests
- Answer phones and direct calls to appropriate personnel
- Anticipate and address guests' needs and resolve their problems and complaints
- Collaborate and communicate with other internal departments to ensure guest satisfaction
- Follow all established SOPs and use approved checklists
- Up sell guest rooms and promote World of Hyatt (WOH) and other hotel services
- Complete various additional tasks and assignments as needed
