Job Description
LodgeWorks is a privately held hotel development and management company that has built a reputation for excellence in the hospitality industry. With over 35 years of experience, LodgeWorks manages a diverse portfolio of 18 hotels across the United States, including the award-winning Archer Hotel boutique collection and other well-known brands such as Hyatt Place, Hyatt House, Aloft, Hilton Garden Inn, and Hampton Inn. Although the company’s name may not always be visible on the hotels themselves, its extraordinary culture and commitment to hospitality are integral to the success of each property. Headquartered in Wichita, Kansas, LodgeWorks takes pride in its Midwestern hospitality roots, and this spirit is reflected in the welcoming atmosphere of each hotel they manage.
LodgeWorks values a strong family culture among its 950+ employees nationwide, fostering a work environment where hospitality is not simply a business but a way of life. The company’s dedication to excellence is demonstrated through its innovative approach to hotel management and its focus on developing meaningful relationships with guests, clients, and partners. This commitment is central to LodgeWorks’ mission to provide outstanding service while maintaining safe and efficient hotel operations. The company is dedicated to diversity and equal opportunity, ensuring a supportive workplace for all employees regardless of race, religion, color, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status, or disability status.
The position of Guest Service Representative at LodgeWorks is vital to delivering the exceptional guest experience that the company is known for. Serving as the first in-person point of contact for guests, this role demands a professional, service-oriented, and engaging individual who truly embodies the spirit of hospitality. The Guest Service Representative acts as a brand ambassador, providing attentive service, addressing guest needs proactively, and ensuring that every interaction exceeds expectations. The role also requires the ability to solve problems creatively and communicate clearly, both with guests and within the team.
Daily responsibilities include confidently checking guests in and out, handling reservations accurately, and acquainting guests with hotel amenities, rates, packages, and nearby attractions. A thorough knowledge of the hotel’s layouts, policies, and safety procedures is essential, as is the ability to manage cash handling and billing with accuracy and integrity. The role emphasizes teamwork, requiring the successful candidate to work harmoniously with coworkers and supervisors while maintaining compliance with company and OSHA standards.
Physical capabilities are also necessary, including the ability to exert up to 60 pounds of force occasionally and stand for extended periods during a shift. The position may involve various physical activities such as reaching overhead, stooping, kneeling, and leaning. Although prior hospitality or service industry experience is an advantage, a strong work ethic and the willingness to be part of a thriving work culture are the most important qualities. Employees are supported through competitive wages and a comprehensive benefits package that includes paid time off, health, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) plans with matching contributions, paid holidays, short- and long-term disability coverage, referral bonuses, and flexible spending accounts.
This dynamic and rewarding role is an excellent opportunity for those passionate about hospitality and eager to build a career with a respected company known for its exceptional service and positive workplace culture. LodgeWorks offers a supportive, family-oriented environment where innovation, communication, and dedication are celebrated, making it a great choice for individuals looking to grow professionally in the hotel management sector.
