The current opening is for the Front Desk and Host position, a critical role centered on shaping the guests' initial impressions of Dave & Buster's. This position is highly interactive and requires a friendly, attentive individual skilled in communication and multitasking. As the first point of contact, the Front Desk and Host ensures guests are warmly welcomed and expertly guided through various aspects of their visit, such as game rentals, merchandise purchases, and dining arrangements.
The role involves greeting guests cheerfully, managing waiting times, coordinating seating fairly across dining areas, and managing the flow of guests entering and moving through the facility. The ideal candidate understands the importance of maintaining a clean, organized front desk and host station, stocking all necessary supplies, and adhering to appearance standards aligning with company dress guidelines. They also help create a harmonious work environment by collaborating effectively with other team members and managers, ensuring guest satisfaction and resolving any issues promptly.
Candidates will need to demonstrate strong English communication skills, an ability to manage multiple guests and tasks simultaneously, and a calm, friendly demeanor especially when addressing customer concerns. The position requires standing or walking 100% of the shift, lifting up to 30 pounds, and functioning in a fast-paced, noisy environment. Job Requirements

Job Duties
- Deliver an unparalleled guest experience through food, drinks and games
- act as ambassador greeting guests with enthusiasm and coordinating game rentals, merchandise sales and telephones
- keep supervisor informed of problems and take corrective action or suggest alternatives
- bid farewell to guests ensuring satisfaction and inviting return visits
- prepare shift by stocking area with menus, silverware, power cards and gift cards
- maintain cleanliness and organization of front desk and host station
- manage table turn timing by scouting open tables and bussing as necessary
- manage guest flow from front doors and communicate wait times to guests, team members, and managers
- process transactions accurately while greeting guests efficiently and with a smile
- reconcile money from banks and complete to-go order transactions
- assist other team members and notify manager of unhappy guests
- rotate seating according to guidelines to ensure fairness
- sell merchandise from front desk if applicable
- demonstrate ability to read and communicate in English clearly
- respond calmly to dissatisfied guests and call issues to manager's attention
- adhere to dress guidelines looking neat, clean and professional
