Job Description

San Diego KOA prides itself on creating memorable experiences by providing a beautiful and comfortable environment where families and outdoor enthusiasts can gather, relax, and enjoy nature. What sets this resort apart is its commitment to high-quality service, scenic location, and welcoming atmosphere that appeals to people of all ages who are looking to connect with nature and make lasting memories.

As part of the hospitality industry, the San Diego KOA employs a dedicated front desk team responsible for guest relations and overall customer satisfaction. This position involves a range of responsibilities from managing campground reservations and guest check-ins to providing useful information about the resort and surrounding area.

The role is ideal for individuals who enjoy meeting new people and working in a lively yet supportive environment. Employees in the front desk role contribute significantly to the guest experience by answering questions, managing reservations, handling guest concerns, and coordinating with various departments to maintain a high standard of service. Working hours are flexible, offering part-time and seasonal positions with shifts ranging from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m., seven days a week. This flexibility makes it an excellent opportunity for students, seasonal workers, or those seeking additional income. The pay starts at $17 per hour, which may increase depending on experience and shift timings.

Success in this role demands excellent communication skills, a professional and approachable demeanor, and the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment. The San Diego KOA values team players who can also work independently and demonstrate leadership qualities when necessary. Computer proficiency, including familiarity with email, internet, and Microsoft Office Suite, is essential, along with problem-solving skills and a friendly attitude. Bilingual candidates, especially those fluent in English and Spanish, are highly desirable to better serve a diverse guest population.

In addition to guest-facing duties, the front desk staff participates in training sessions and helps with other operational tasks such as stocking merchandise and light janitorial work, fostering a collaborative and well-rounded team environment.
