The new Hampton Inn Gulfport marks a significant milestone for A&R Group, set to open its doors in April 2026. Located at 400 Beach Blvd, Gulfport, Mississippi, this brand-new Hilton property will offer exceptional accommodations on the picturesque Gulf Coast. As part of the grand opening team, Front Desk / Guest Services Representatives will play an essential role in shaping the guest experience and supporting daily hotel operations. This full-time and part-time hourly, non-exempt position demands a professional, service-driven individual committed to creating warm, efficient, and memorable interactions for guests.

The Front Desk / Guest Services Representative acts as the welcoming face of the Hampton Inn Gulfport, serving as the first point of contact for guests. Responsibilities include managing check-ins, check-outs, reservations, and guest inquiries—all requiring strong communication skills, multitasking ability, and meticulous attention to detail. This role involves operating property management systems securely, coordinating with other departments such as Housekeeping, Laundry, and Breakfast services, and maintaining a clean, organized front desk environment.

Candidates will find their hospitality skills challenged and rewarded as they anticipate guest needs, resolve complaints, process payments with accuracy, and uphold Hilton brand standards along with A&R Group policies. The position requires flexibility to work varied schedules, including evenings, nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime during busy times, making adaptability key. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Ability to operate computer systems and office equipment
  • Basic math skills required for shift balancing and transactions
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs
  • Willingness to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members
  • Previous hospitality experience preferred

Job Duties

  • Greet guests and handle check-ins and check-outs with professionalism and efficiency
  • Provide excellent customer service by answering phone calls and responding to guest inquiries
  • Make same-day and future reservations and block rooms based on guest needs and availability
  • Pre-register group arrivals, prepare key packets, and organize arrival materials
  • Register guests, verify payment methods and ensure accurate documentation
  • Enter credit card and ID information securely into the property management system
  • Assist other departments including Breakfast, Housekeeping, Laundry, and events as needed
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front desk and back office areas
  • Anticipate guest needs and respond promptly and courteously
  • Address and resolve guest complaints to ensure satisfaction
  • Document guest requests and communicate follow-up needs to appropriate departments
  • Prepare shift drops and verify totals in the property management system
  • Handle Lost and Found items according to policy
  • Maintain confidentiality of guest and company information
  • Communicate safety or service concerns to management in a timely manner
  • Follow all Hilton brand standards, A&R policies, and safety procedures
  • Serve as a Brand Ambassador for A&R Group’s culture, mission, and values
  • Perform other duties as assigned
