The Front Office Receptionist role at FMC on Coulter is an integral position focused on managing front-office reception and administrative duties effectively. This role requires an individual with exemplary customer service skills who is capable of multitasking and working collaboratively within a team environment. The Front Office Receptionist is the first point of contact for patients and visitors, responsible for creating an inviting atmosphere that facilitates a positive experience from the moment guests enter the facility. The role encompasses a variety of administrative tasks including greeting guests, answering phone calls, scheduling patient appointments, and managing patient check-in and check-out processes. This position is vital to the administration of patient care, as it includes verifying insurance details through respective insurance websites, collecting co-pays and deductibles accurately, and updating patient information such as contact details and pharmacy information.
Additionally, this role supports healthcare providers by assisting with paperwork, scheduling and precepting radiological studies, and ensuring that all administrative packets are fully stocked at the end of the day. The Front Office Receptionist also maintains cleanliness and organization within the reception area, including cleaning chairs, pens, and tables, while also handling daily cash and credit reports before the end of shifts. This position operates Monday through Friday from 8 am to 5 pm, offering a consistent work schedule that aligns with the facility's operational hours. The ideal candidate will be well-organized, detail-oriented, and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, ensuring smooth communication with patients, insurance companies, and internal staff. The ability to lift and carry items weighing 10 to 20 pounds is also required, supporting the physical demands of the role.
