Job Description
Baywood Court is a dedicated not-for-profit senior living community situated in Castro Valley, committed to fostering an environment where seniors can live with health, happiness, and dignity. Offering a modern and active lifestyle, Baywood Court prioritizes compassionate care and support that enhances the daily lives of its residents. Being a 24/7 facility, the community facilitates a vibrant living experience where service-minded individuals are valued for their positive impact on the well-being of seniors. Located conveniently for easy access, Baywood Court has created a reputation for providing exemplary senior care with a warm and friendly atmosphere.
The role available is for a Full-time Front Desk Coordinator working the AM shift, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, with an additional 30 minutes allocated for shift changes. The position offers a pay rate of $21.50 per hour, making it an attractive opportunity for candidates seeking a consistent daytime schedule in a supportive environment. The Front Desk Coordinator position is critical within the community, serving as the first face and point of contact for residents, family members, staff, visitors, and vendors. This role involves dynamic interaction and multitasking in a busy environment, ensuring excellent customer service and administrative efficiency.
Under the guidance of the Resident Services Manager, the Front Desk Coordinator engages in a fast-paced, multi-responsibility environment where quick thinking, organizational skill, and professionalism are essential. Applicants must be amenable to shift flexibility, including potential weekend and holiday work, as well as the ability to swap coverage in the event of time off or illness. Compliance with comprehensive background screening, including drug tests, tuberculosis tests, and criminal clearances, is mandatory. This comprehensive screening ensures the safety and well-being of the senior residents and upholds the community's standards.
Baywood Court values energetic, organized professionals who thrive under pressure and can maintain composure in emergency situations. The ideal candidate is skilled in multitasking, managing high call volumes, and performing a variety of duties simultaneously, all while providing an inviting and calming presence. Technology proficiency, particularly with Microsoft Office and multi-line phone systems, is essential. The community offers a supportive work environment with many benefits, including up to four weeks of paid time off in the first year, medical and dental insurance, life insurance, retirement plans with employer matching, and unique perks like pet insurance and employee meal discounts.
This role also involves handling emergency communications, monitoring security cameras, managing mail and package deliveries, and maintaining clear communication during shift changes. A polished and friendly demeanor is crucial as the Front Desk Coordinator helps direct inquiries and connect people to appropriate departments. Overall, this position offers a unique opportunity for someone passionate about senior care to become an integral part of a respected and well-established community enhancing the lives of older adults.
