We are currently seeking a Front Desk Coordinator for a short-term contract position, offering a vibrant and engaging role within our non-profit setting. This position plays a critical role as the first point of contact for our visitors, ensuring a warm and professional reception that reflects our organization's values. The Front Desk Coordinator will manage numerous front desk functions, including directing visitors, managing communications, and maintaining a smooth flow of daily office operations. This role requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
The Front Desk Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing the opening and closing procedures of the front desk area and handling all phone communications with professionalism and promptness. Given that the position involves heavy data entry and computer usage, proficiency in Microsoft Office software, including OneDrive, is essential. The successful candidate will also manage the mailroom operations, ensuring timely sorting and distribution of mail and packages. In addition to these administrative duties, the role includes supporting event logistics such as room setup, cleanup, catering coordination, and audiovisual equipment management.
This is a Monday through Friday role, from 9 am to 5 pm, offering a competitive pay rate of up to $20 per hour. Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- prior experience in a front desk or receptionist role
- proficient computer skills with experience in data entry
- excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- ability to multitask and manage time effectively

- ability to work monday through friday 9 am to 5 pm

Job Duties
- manage the front desk area including greeting visitors and directing them
- oversee the opening and closing procedures of the front desk
- handle phone communications and relay messages promptly
- maintain kitchen and marketing materials stocked and presentable
- manage mailroom operations including sorting and distributing mail and packages
- schedule and maintain conference rooms ensuring they are tidy and ready for use
- support coordination for staff weekly two-question reporting to CEO
- assist with event logistics including room setup, cleanup, catering arrangements, and audiovisual equipment setup
- update electronic signage to promote events as per marketing department specifications at the front desk
