The Front Desk Coordinator role at Platinum Dermatology Partners is a vital position focused on being the "Director of First Impressions" for patients visiting the clinics. This individual plays a crucial role in ensuring that patients receive an excellent welcome and support from the moment they arrive. The coordinator is responsible for managing front desk operations, including greeting patients, scheduling appointments, handling phone communications, managing patient paperwork, and assisting with routine and non-routine inquiries. The role requires excellent interpersonal skills, professionalism, and a genuine passion for delivering unparalleled customer service in a fast-paced clinical setting. The successful candidate must be able to update patient information accurately in the Electronic Medical Records (EMA) system, verify insurance eligibility, process prior authorizations, and handle patient financial transactions such as copays and balances. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience working at the front desk in a medical office or clinic
- Prior insurance verification and scheduling experience required
- Knowledge of medical dermatology terms including CPT and ICD-10
- Quality written and verbal communication skills
- Quality mathematics skills
- Professional in appearance and mannerisms
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to demonstrate compassion and caring
- Ability to prioritize tasks and understand provider instructions
- Experience using EMR systems preferred
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Accurately and professionally handle front desk operations including answering phones, greeting patients, and scheduling all appointments
- Prepare necessary patient paperwork before the patients appointments
- Review EMA for information that needs to be updated
- Update patients information and accurately enter it in EMA
- Identify payer sources, verify insurance eligibility, and verify prior authorization
- Record and collect patient copays and balances at check-in and check-out
- Perform other duties as assigned
