The position available is for a Full-Time Front Desk Coordinator, an essential role in the smooth operation of the clinic. This role involves being the first point of contact for patients and visitors, creating a welcoming atmosphere through prompt, courteous, and helpful customer service. The Front Desk Coordinator at HIDEF Physical Therapy will be responsible for managing patient scheduling, handling new referrals, collecting payments, and maintaining the organization and cleanliness of the front office workspace. They will also be tasked with managing patient information, verifying referrals and benefit authorizations, and efficiently coordinating appointment bookings, cancellations, and rescheduling.
An integral part of the role includes effective communication with patients, physical therapists, and other staff members. The Front Desk Coordinator serves as a liaison, ensuring smooth information flow and managing phone communications, including answering calls, directing calls during busy times, and relaying messages when necessary. Maintaining confidentiality of patient information and demonstrating proficiency in computer applications such as Microsoft Office and G Suite are also important facets of this position.

Job Duties
- Greet patients and visitors in a prompt, courteous, and helpful manner
- schedule new referrals received by fax or telephone from patients, physician offices, or other sources
- collect patient payments
- maintain an orderly and organized front office workspace
- input patient information into computer systems, verify patient information and referrals, and provide appropriate paperwork to patients
- obtain benefit information and referrals/authorizations if necessary
- book, cancel, and reschedule patient appointments
- answer phones, transfer and/or direct calls during busy times
- act as liaison between patients and other staff
- relay phone messages from patients to therapists when applicable
- keep the waiting room neat and presentable at all times
- maintain excellent communication with physical therapists and patients regarding wait times or delays
- maintain patient confidentiality
- demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Office and G Suite
