Job Description
The ADA Forsyth Institute has a rich history dating back to its founding in 1910 as the Forsyth Dental Infirmary for Children, later known as the Forsyth Institute. Established to provide much-needed dental care to disadvantaged children in Boston, the institute has continuously evolved its mission to improve oral health worldwide. Recognizing that prevention of dental disease is paramount, the institute expanded its focus from providing care to include cutting-edge scientific research starting in 1915. Today, the ADA Forsyth Institute stands as a world leader in oral health research committed to advancing the dental profession through innovative basic and translational science, clinical technologies, and global public health initiatives.
In October 2023, the ADA Forsyth Institute joined forces with the American Dental Association to form an enhanced 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to improving both oral and overall health. This partnership has broadened the institute's scope to power the dental profession globally by integrating research, education, and community outreach. The ADA ForsythKids mobile dental program remains a cornerstone, continuing to serve children in need with essential dental services.
The ADA Forsyth Faculty Associates Dental Clinic is currently seeking a Front Desk Coordinator who is motivated, organized, and dedicated to providing exceptional patient service. This role is based in a fast-paced clinical setting where teamwork and patient-centered care are valued. As the welcoming face of the clinic, the successful candidate will ensure smooth administrative operations and create a positive experience for patients and their families.
This full-time position offers a Monday to Friday or a compressed Monday to Thursday work schedule, providing flexibility and work-life balance. The Front Desk Coordinator plays a vital role in managing the front office workflow, greeting and checking in patients, scheduling appointments, processing payments, and responding to inquiries. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a dental or medical office environment and demonstrate excellent organizational skills, strong communication abilities, and proficiency with scheduling systems and Microsoft Office.
Joining the ADA Forsyth Faculty Associates Dental Clinic means becoming part of a professional and supportive environment focused on teamwork and quality patient care. The clinic values proactive individuals who are attentive to detail and committed to delivering outstanding service. Competitive compensation and benefits commensurate with experience are offered. The ADA Forsyth Institute champions equal employment opportunity, ensuring a diverse and inclusive workplace where all qualified applicants receive fair consideration regardless of race, gender, disability, or other legally protected characteristics.
