Job Description

Bermuda Village Retirement Community is a premier senior living facility located in the serene and secure gated Bermuda Run neighborhood in Advance, North Carolina. Bermuda Village is currently seeking Front Desk Concierges to join their dedicated team. This role is pivotal in creating a warm and welcoming environment for all residents, their families, guests, and staff. The Front Desk Concierge serves as the first point of contact, responsible for greeting visitors with friendliness and professionalism, both in person and via telephone. This position plays a crucial role in maintaining excellent communication and administrative efficiency within the community.

In addition to providing exceptional customer service, the Front Desk Concierge supports various administrative tasks, including managing visitor logins, handling calls, and assisting with document preparation and filing. This position requires a team player who can work independently with integrity and a strong sense of responsibility. Bermuda Village values team members who demonstrate compassion for the elderly and a commitment to upholding residents' rights and privacy.

The role requires availability for a part-time schedule, primarily working from 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm every Thursday through Saturday, with rotating weekend shifts from 6:00 am to 2:00 pm. Bermuda Village is committed to workplace safety and health and is a vaccinated employer, requiring proof of COVID-19 vaccination or an approved exemption upon hire.

Job Requirements

  • Prior receptionist experience preferred
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with residents, families, staff, and general public
  • Must have compassion for and desire to work with the elderly
  • Must demonstrate the ability to work responsibly as a team member as well as an individual
  • Must be honest, fair, dependable, respect confidentiality and the rights and privacy of others
  • Ability to represent our community in a positive and professional manner
  • Must be computer literate
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Must pass criminal background check
  • Must meet all health requirements
  • Must be able to perform the duties and responsibilities (Essential Job Functions) with or without reasonable accommodation

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Answer the telephone, transfer calls, take and deliver accurate messages
  • Greet guests who come in the door to tour, visit a resident or complete other business concerns
  • Develop or photocopy documents and forms as requested
  • Assist with the maintenance of files by keeping them updated with new or revised forms
  • Maintain the lobby area in a clean and uncluttered manner
  • Responsible for ensuring that all employees are providing excellent customer service to internal and external customers
  • Perform job duties for residents and with team members in a courteous and professional manner
