Job Description
The hiring establishment is a senior living community specializing in independent living arrangements for residents seeking a comfortable and supportive environment. This community focuses on providing exceptional customer service and a welcoming atmosphere for all guests, residents, and employees. It operates in a vibrant and caring setting that values the satisfaction and well-being of its residents, ensuring they feel respected, engaged, and supported in their daily lives. The community is committed to maintaining high standards of service and upholding a professional yet warm and approachable environment for everyone who walks through its doors. As a part-time position with a clear schedule, this role perfectly suits individuals seeking a balance between work and personal time without weekend shifts, requiring availability primarily from Tuesday to Friday, with holiday shifts as needed. The offered pay of $15 per hour reflects a competitive wage for part-time opportunities in the hospitality or senior living industry.
The role of Part-Time Night Concierge - Independent Living is essential in creating a positive first impression and serving as a reliable point of contact for residents, guests, and staff during the evening hours. This position is responsible for greeting individuals warmly, managing all telephone communications with efficiency and professionalism, and ensuring messages are accurately taken and promptly conveyed. Beyond reception duties, the concierge assists with various administrative tasks that enhance the residents' experience, such as updating phone and email lists, organizing mail, and coordinating appointments like transportation and hairdresser visits. The concierge also supports the dining team by preparing meal tickets and tallying meal counts, which helps maintain smooth operations within the community.
Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and excellent interpersonal communication are critical qualities for success in this role. The concierge helps maintain the integrity and tidiness of the entry area and desk, promoting an orderly and inviting environment. Since this position serves as a hub of information and assistance during the specified hours, the ability to multitask while remaining approachable and courteous is indispensable. The part-time nature of the job allows for a focused commitment during the afternoon and evening shift without weekend responsibilities, making it suitable for those seeking evening availability with some flexibility around holidays.
Overall, this independent living night concierge position is integral to supporting the community’s operational flow and fostering a safe, pleasant, and well-organized environment. It offers stability, a supportive workplace culture, and an opportunity to make a meaningful impact within a respected senior living facility. Candidates will find this role rewarding as they contribute toward enhancing the quality of life for residents while working in a collaborative and respectful team setting.
