The Front Desk Representative plays a pivotal role in the guest experience at MGM Resorts International. As the first point of contact, a Front Desk Representative welcomes guests with warmth and professionalism, ensuring their arrival and departure processes are seamless and enjoyable. This role is essential in creating 'WOW' moments by personalizing guest interactions, understanding unique needs, and providing prompt, effective solutions to enhance satisfaction. Responsibilities include managing reservations, check-ins, and check-outs, handling payments and key controls securely, and collaborating with other departments such as housekeeping to meet guest expectations. The position also involves promoting membership benefits like the M life rewards program and offering room upgrades where possible. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent
  • Six or more months of relevant cash handling experience
  • One or more years of relevant face-to-face guest service experience
  • Ability to work varied shifts including weekends and holidays
  • Must be able to handle cash and perform transaction balancing
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to maintain guest confidentiality and security
  • Basic computer literacy and reservation system knowledge

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent
  • Minimum 6 months of prior cash handling experience
  • At least 1 year of relevant face-to-face guest service experience
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work varied shifts including weekends and holidays
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency in reservation software
  • Customer-focused attitude with problem-solving abilities

Job Duties

  • Welcome guests to the property and MGM Resorts family by providing memorable service and anticipating guest needs
  • Deliver a seamless and professional experience managing property arrivals, departures, walk-ins, and all guest check-ins and check-outs
  • Enhance guest experience through offering upgraded accommodations and promoting M life enrollment and benefits
  • Partner with Housekeeping and other departments to meet guest expectations and special requests
  • Ensure correct charges and credits are posted, collect payments, handle cash and credit transactions responsibly and balance cash transactions according to property procedures
  • Control and issue keys while promoting security, privacy, and confidentiality
  • Provide a relaxing and hassle-free experience from start to finish
