Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • ability to remain awake and alert during assigned shifts
  • ability to comprehend assignments and request clarification if needed
  • capacity to sit, stand, walk, bend intermittently
  • ability to occasionally lift and move up to 25 pounds
  • must adhere to personal electronics usage policy during shifts
  • ability to work with minimal supervision and make independent decisions
  • willingness to attend staff meetings
  • regular and punctual attendance
  • ability to maintain confidentiality and professional relationships
  • willingness to perform janitorial duties
  • ability to log information accurately and timely
  • ability to handle multiple simultaneous projects in a busy environment

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous experience in security or front desk operations preferred
  • basic computer skills including data entry
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to maintain confidentiality
  • ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • strong organizational skills
  • ability to handle crisis situations with composure
  • knowledge of safety and security protocols

Job Duties

  • Maintain ongoing professional relationships in all clients (note confidentiality and professional guidelines requirements)
  • provide security and safety of the facility and shelter
  • screen all visitors from the intercom before entering the facility
  • know and enforce all facility rules, guidelines
  • maintain all program materials in an appropriate manner
  • attend all staff meetings as assigned
  • must always remain awake while on the job for the safety and security of the clients and staff
  • log pertinent information in a timely manner
  • regular and punctual attendance is required
  • maintain janitorial duties including maintaining front office area and garbage duties
  • perform basic data entry with special attention to detail
  • provide administrative and program support to case management staff
