The Pfister Hotel is currently seeking a Part Time Front Desk Agent to join its dedicated team. This role is perfect for individuals with a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences and a keen eye for detail. The Front Desk Agent serves as the face of the hotel, warmly greeting guests upon arrival and providing prompt and courteous service throughout their stay. This position requires someone who can maintain professionalism and positivity, especially when handling inquiries, requests, and potential conflicts with diplomacy and tact. Responsibilities include efficiently checking guests in and out, managing reservations, handling cash transactions with accuracy, and responding knowledgeably to guest questions about hotel amenities and local attractions. The ability to work with a moderately complex computer system for inputting and retrieving information is essential.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous hotel, receptionist, customer service, front desk or administrative experience preferred
- Excellent customer service skills
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to stand and move throughout the front office continuously
- Ability to read, listen, and communicate effectively in English, both verbally and written
- Ability to access and accurately input information using a moderately complex computer system
- Hearing and visual ability to observe and detect signs of emergencies

Job Duties
- Greet and welcome guests as they arrive at the hotel
- Check guests in and out of rooms
- Input and retrieve information routinely from computer system to communicate guest requests
- Make appropriate selection of rooms based on guests' needs
- Effectively deal with internal and external customers, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact, and diplomacy to defuse anger, collect accurate information and resolve conflicts
- Respond to guest requests and questions regarding area or hotel, outlet information and services as well as handle guest issues and report complaints to management
- Promptly answer the phone in a professional and clear manner
- Maintain cash handling accuracy including responsibility for House Bank
- Perform other duties as assigned
