Job Duties
- Process guest check-ins and reservations
- assign rooms and issue room keys
- handle all types of payments including cash, checks, and credit or debit cards
- process guest check-outs and disputed charges
- answer and process guest calls, messages, and requests
- coordinate with Housekeeping to ensure rooms are in perfect condition
- communicate parking procedures to guests and coordinate with bell staff
- provide directions and local information to guests
- prepare and verify daily reports on arrivals and departures
- complete cashier and closing reports
- collect personal and traveler’s checks
- compute cash drawer at start and end of shifts
- balance and deliver receipts according to accounting specifications
- comply with all company safety and security policies
- report accidents, injuries, and unsafe working conditions
- maintain professional appearance and confidentiality
- greet and anticipate guest service needs
- assist guests with disabilities
- use clear and professional communication
- maintain positive working relationships
- follow quality assurance standards
- stand, sit, or walk for prolonged periods
- lift or move objects up to 10 pounds
- perform other reasonable duties as assigned
