Job Description

Marine Corps Community Services (MCCS) is a distinguished organization dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for Marines, their families, and other members within the Marine Corps Community. MCCS is currently seeking enthusiastic, dedicated individuals to join their team as Desk Clerks at Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS) Miramar. This role is essential to providing exceptional customer service and facilitating the day-to-day operations of the facility where Marines and their families stay. The Desk Clerk acts as the first point of contact for guests, managing reservations, registration, room assignments, and financial transactions with precision and professionalism. This position is highly service-oriented and requires not only strong administrative and interpersonal skills but also a keen attention to detail and the ability to work well under pressure.

The Desk Clerk role involves multiple responsibilities, including handling guest check-ins and check-outs, processing payments, issuing room keys, maintaining accurate records both manually and via computer systems, and ensuring that guest needs are promptly addressed. Additionally, desk clerks may handle change funds, respond to telephone inquiries, relay messages, sort and distribute mail, and provide information about local activities and tourist attractions. They also serve as a liaison for maintenance issues or other guest concerns, escalating serious problems to managers promptly. The role may occasionally include selling retail merchandise and renting out video equipment.
