We are currently seeking a dedicated Front Desk Clerk to join our Front Office team at Hyatt Regency Portland. This is an exciting hourly position offering $23.00 per hour, ideal for individuals who enjoy engaging directly with guests and providing outstanding customer service. The Front Desk Clerk serves as the primary point of contact for guests, responsible for managing check-ins and check-outs efficiently, handling reservations, payments, and guest inquiries with professionalism and courtesy. Candidates should be prepared to handle a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities, including assisting guests with luggage, coordinating concierge services such as dining and entertainment recommendations, and resolving any issues that arise during a guest’s stay. The role requires excellent communication skills, proficiency with hotel management software, and the ability to collaborate effectively with other hotel departments to ensure a seamless guest experience. In addition to daily operational duties, the Front Desk Clerk plays a vital role in creating an inviting and positive atmosphere that reflects the values and standards of the Hyatt brand. Job Duties

  • Welcome guests to the hotel with a friendly and professional demeanor providing exceptional customer service throughout their stay
  • check guests in and out efficiently processing payments issuing room keys according to established procedures and assisting with luggage as needed
  • answer phones respond to inquiries and provide information about hotel facilities services and local attractions
  • handle guest requests and concerns promptly and effectively escalating issues to management as needed to ensure guest satisfaction
  • maintain accurate records of guest accounts including billing information and room assignments
  • collaborate with other hotel departments to coordinate guest services and ensure a seamless guest experience
  • assist with concierge services including making reservations and providing recommendations for dining and entertainment
