We are currently seeking a friendly and professional Front Desk Clerk to join our team at either Home2 Suites or Tru by Hilton in Grove City, OH. This is a full-time position offering an hourly wage of $16.00, along with a comprehensive benefits package beginning 30 days after hire. This role is critical to ensuring an outstanding guest experience by providing exceptional service and efficiently managing front desk functions. The ideal candidate will be the welcoming face of the hotel, assisting guests with check-ins and check-outs, handling reservations and inquiries, and contributing to the smooth operation of the front office.

As a Front Desk Clerk, your primary focus will be on greeting guests warmly, managing all front desk transactions accurately, and addressing any guest concerns promptly to maintain high satisfaction levels. You will be responsible for maximizing revenue opportunities, maintaining proper security procedures such as key control, and ensuring compliance with company standards and policies. This role requires excellent communication and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to use the property management system effectively.

The position also demands attention to detail in completing shift reports, cash drops, and other administrative tasks. Working collaboratively with the sales team to explore revenue opportunities is part of the role, and flexibility regarding scheduling and shift hours is essential. The Front Desk Clerk acts as a vital link between guests and the hotel’s operational teams, helping to maintain a clean and organized front desk area and reporting any safety, security, or maintenance issues to management.

Job Requirements

  • Previous customer service experience
  • Ability to handle cash transactions accurately
  • Strong communication skills
  • Proficient in English
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Basic computer skills
  • Dependability and professionalism

Job Duties

  • Greet and assist hotel guests in a courteous and professional manner
  • Process guest arrivals, departures, and special requests efficiently
  • Maximize revenue opportunities through upselling and rate management
  • Follow hotel cash-handling procedures
  • Maintain a clean, organized front desk area
  • Address guest concerns and work toward prompt resolution
  • Report safety, security, and maintenance concerns to management
  • Complete shift reports, cash drops, and other front desk duties
  • Maintain proper key control procedures
  • Comply with hotel, brand, and company standards and policies
  • Work closely with the sales team to identify revenue opportunities
  • Utilize the property management system (PMS) effectively
  • Attend meetings and training sessions as required
  • Be flexible with scheduling and available to work various shifts
