The role of Front Desk & Guest Care is crucial in shaping the guest experience, as this position is located at the heart of the hotel where it involves the most guest interaction. The Front Desk Clerk or Guest Services Clerk is responsible for being proactive, responsive, and caring in their interactions to ensure every guest’s stay is pleasant and memorable. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in customer service or hospitality is preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to handle cash and follow cash handling procedures
- Availability to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in hospitality or customer service preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately
- Strong problem-solving abilities
- Knowledge of hotel brand and services is a plus
- Ability to maintain professionalism under pressure
Job Duties
- Assist guests efficiently, courteously and professionally at all times
- Maintain a high level of service and hospitality
- Promptly and effectively deal with guest concerns or issues and see all are met to satisfaction in timely manner
- Post guest charges, collect payments and follow all cash handling procedures
- Handle guest mail and messages with respect to privacy and professionalism
- Be knowledgeable of the hotel brand and various programs including travel specials and offers
- Communicate guest comments and concerns to various departments and management
- Respond quickly to incoming calls, lobby visitors and team members needing front desk assistance
- Have full knowledge of hotel safety and emergency procedures
