Job Requirements

  • must be able to present a good impression and interact with people in a friendly, business-like manner
  • must possess versatility, discretion, and the ability to work with a variety of people
  • must have the ability to communicate well both orally and written in a helpful and professional manner
  • must demonstrate ability to follow instructions and organize work, collaborate, and complete tasks with little supervision
  • must be able to sit for extended periods of time with occasional walking, standing, or lifting up to 10lbs
  • must have reliable transportation to and from work

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or GED
  • training in business communications or administration preferred
  • competent knowledge in MS Outlook, Word and Excel preferred
  • previous office, reception and/or customer service experience preferred

Job Duties

  • ensure the front desk is covered at all times
  • perform a variety of clerical support tasks
  • operate telephone system
  • provide information to the public, customers, visitors and other interested parties
  • maintain a positive first impression and give callers a consistent experience of helpfulness
  • handle complaints by listening, understanding, expressing concern and then respectfully forwarding callers to appropriate staff persons
  • collect, sort, distribute and prepare incoming and outgoing mail, messages and courier deliveries
  • maintain reception area appearance
  • provide support as needed by various departments and work collaboratively with others to complete tasks
  • perform other duties as assigned
