Job Description

Altamont is a residential apartment community consisting of 41 units that provides a secure and supportive living environment for its residents. Focused on creating a safe and welcoming atmosphere, Altamont emphasizes community well-being and resident satisfaction. Nestled in a convenient location, this property aims to serve tenants who value safety, comfort, and appropriate support services. The team at Altamont strives to maintain a harmonious living environment, ensuring all residents experience a high quality of life within the community.

Altamont is currently seeking a dedicated Front Desk Attendant to oversee the administrative and operational duties related to the safety and security of the property. This role involves monitoring security systems, enforcing community rules, and maintaining clear communication with residents and staff. The Front Desk Attendant plays a crucial role in supervising the facility, including managing video surveillance, fire safety systems, and conducting thorough inspections of the premises. This position requires a responsible individual who is capable of multi-tasking and who demonstrates strong interpersonal skills to foster respectful relationships within the community. The role also includes administrative tasks such as shift reporting, handling resident payments for meal programs and other fees, and assisting with duties in janitorial and kitchen areas when needed.

This is a part-time position with shifts scheduled from 4:00 pm to 12:00 am on Saturdays and Sundays. The Front Desk Attendant must be proficient in observing resident behavior and responding appropriately, as well as cooperating with other staff members for effective operational coverage. In addition to enforcing the property policies and procedures, the ideal candidate will serve as a role model for recovery and wellness, offering guidance and support that aligns with the community’s mission. Through consistent communication and thorough documentation, the Front Desk Attendant contributes to the well-being and security of all residents, making this a vital position within the Altamont apartment community.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • experience with program housing or working with persons with mental illness preferred
  • strong interpersonal skills including setting and enforcing boundaries
  • knowledge of basic office equipment and technology
  • ability to multi-task and prioritize duties
  • adult CPR and first aid certification preferred
  • current Tulsa City County Health Department Food Handler’s permit required within 90 days of hire
  • ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing
  • physical ability to move 25 pounds occasionally
  • physical mobility and endurance to stand or walk for long periods
  • ability to climb multiple flights of stairs
  • reliable transportation
  • flexible work schedule including weekends

Job Duties

  • Responsible for general safety and security of the facility including monitoring video surveillance equipment fire systems and building exits
  • makes interior and exterior checks of the premises
  • enforces all property and leasing rules
  • monitors incoming and outgoing guests
  • observes and reports resident behaviors
  • creates shift logs reporting incidents behaviors or maintenance issues and reviews previous shift logs
  • receives and records resident payments for meal program and other fees
  • assists with janitorial or kitchen duties when staffing is insufficient
  • complies with Association policies and procedures
  • works cooperatively with Resident Assistant and Pool Staff on shift coverage
  • creates and distributes incident reports as required
  • role models recovery and wellness
