The Front Desk Attendant plays a significant role in enforcing the club's safety policies, including verifying pick-up cards as part of the Safe Passage policy and monitoring visitor access. The position requires a calm, positive demeanor and the ability to multitask effectively in a dynamic environment. This role also facilitates communication between members and staff by answering phones and addressing inquiries with professionalism.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED with at least one year of data entry experience, though preference is given to candidates with three years of experience. Skills such as strong organizational capabilities, excellent communication, teamwork, and a deep understanding of youth needs are essential. Certifications in CPR and First Aid are preferred, indicating the organization's commitment to safety. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in data entry required
  • Ability to use computer, software, database systems, keyboard, calculator and typical office machines
  • Ability to maintain a balanced cash box
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to interact positively with young people
  • Ability to work collaboratively with team members
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Maximum unassisted lift of 50 lbs
  • Availability to work part-time hours between 2pm and 8pm

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in data entry required, 3 years preferred
  • Energetic, forward-thinking and creative individual with high ethical standards
  • Ability to work with a team
  • Understanding of the needs and interests of young people
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to interact with young people in a positive way, particularly as it relates to behavior issues
  • Maintain a positive, friendly and cooperative attitude at the worksite
  • CPR and First Aid certification preferred

Job Duties

  • Provide individual guidance and establish relationships with members that are conducive to their growth and development
  • Maintain accurate daily records of membership and attendance information utilizing KidTrax technology
  • Administer intake of membership application and all other documents relative to membership intake process
  • Collect pick-up cards from families to ensure the Safe Passage policy is enforced
  • Answer telephone and greet members and all Club guests in a pleasant and polite manner
  • Ensure that all visitors and volunteers scan in and are properly identified with ID badges
  • Allow only authorized Club personnel behind the front desk
  • Maintain a balanced cash box when applicable
  • Collect payments for summer camp and other special programs
  • Maintain a payment log to maintain an accurate accounting of all program fee transactions
  • Monitor the use of the public address system
