This position is with an independently owned and operated franchise of UFC Gym, which is a renowned fitness and wellness center dedicated to empowering individuals to live healthier and more active lifestyles. UFC Gym combines traditional fitness methods with mixed martial arts techniques to offer a unique and effective workout environment. As a franchise, the gym emphasizes community engagement, member satisfaction, and fostering an atmosphere where fitness enthusiasts of all levels can achieve their personal goals. As a Front Desk Attendant at this UFC Gym franchise, you will play a crucial role in delivering the Ultimate Service Promise through superior customer service to both members and guests. This position is designed for individuals who possess an outgoing personality and a passion for helping others. Your primary responsibility will be to provide warm and efficient service by greeting members and guests promptly and ensuring all inquiries and concerns are handled professionally. You will be the first point of contact and ambassador for the gym, making your role vital to creating positive first impressions and maintaining member satisfaction.
The role requires a combination of customer service skills and operational duties. You will manage front desk activities including member check-ins, telephone inquiries, group fitness reservations, and maintaining accurate records such as maintenance logs and fitness profiles. Responsiveness and attention to detail are essential, as you will need to manage multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment. You will also be responsible for reporting any emergencies or unsafe conditions immediately to management, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of everyone at the club.
Additionally, your duties extend beyond front desk operations to include maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of the front desk and lobby area. This helps contribute to an inviting and professional gym atmosphere. You will also play a part in club operations by monitoring retail sales goals and assisting with membership dues follow-ups. Collaboration with maintenance and janitorial teams is also expected to promptly address any facility issues.
This position demands excellent communication skills, telephone etiquette, and a strong commitment to customer service excellence. The ideal candidate is energetic, friendly, and able to multi-task while paying close attention to detail. A high school diploma or GED is required, along with current CPR/AED certification. Job Duties
- Ensures guests and members are warmly greeted and promptly assisted
- Ensures incoming calls are answered professionally and efficiently
- Follows proper member check-in procedures
- Responds to member questions, requests and concerns, escalating to management if unresolved
- Maintains maintenance logs, fitness profiles, telephone inquiries and group fitness reservations
- Reports unsafe conditions or emergencies to management immediately
- Keeps front desk and lobby neat and clean at all times
- Monitors retail goals and ensures club meets assigned goals
- Calls past due members regarding late dues and down payments
- Collaborates with maintenance and janitorial staff to address cleanliness and maintenance issues
