The Front Desk Associate role at Equinox Park Ave is an exciting and impactful position within this vibrant organization. Front Desk Associates play a critical role as the first point of contact for members entering the facility and are responsible for creating a professional and inviting atmosphere.

The position offers a competitive starting wage of $15.00 per hour and appeals particularly to candidates interested in health, fitness, and sports, blending customer service expertise with a passion for wellness. Responsibilities include greeting members and guests professionally, managing membership ID scans, answering phones, responding to member inquiries and concerns, updating account information, and maintaining the front desk area to ensure it reflects the high standards of the Equinox brand.

Moreover, Front Desk Associates are expected to assist with club tours and support other departments with related tasks, highlighting the collaborative culture at Equinox. The role demands physical stamina as it involves standing for long periods, walking, reaching, bending, and handling lifting tasks up to 50 pounds. Job Requirements

  • Must be able to perform all essential physical aspects of the position which may include standing for long periods of time, sitting, constantly walking, squatting, stooping, reaching, and bending above and below shoulder height
  • Must be able to perform pushing, pulling and lifting up to 50lbs at a time
  • Must have legal right to work in the United States

Job Qualifications

  • Reliable, professional, computer literate, energetic, and friendly
  • Preferably interested in health, fitness, and/or sports
  • Must be friendly, vibrant, and outgoing
  • Must be able to effectively communicate in person, via email, and via phone

Job Duties

  • Professionally greet members and guests
  • Scan membership IDs upon members entrance
  • Answer phones professionally
  • Respond to member questions, concerns and discrepancies
  • Update members’ accounts if needed
  • Maintain an orderly and clean work area
  • Ability to work opening/closing/mid-day shifts
  • Ability to tour members
  • Provide the highest level of customer service to members, prospective members, and guests
  • Aid other departments with other related tasks
