Job Description

We are a well-established and rapidly growing Gastroenterology (GI) medical office located in Whittier, California. Our office is dedicated to providing exceptional care to patients requiring specialized gastrointestinal services. With a team of experienced medical professionals, we strive to create a welcoming, efficient, and compassionate environment for every patient who walks through our doors. Our commitment to high standards of care and patient satisfaction has made us a trusted healthcare provider in the community.

We are currently seeking a Front Desk Staff Member who will play a crucial role in the smooth operation of our medical office. This position offers both full-time and part-time opportunities, providing flexibility to accommodate different schedules. Our ideal candidate will be professional, detail-oriented, and compassionate, able to effectively support both patients and the clinical team. The role involves direct patient interaction, so excellent communication and customer service skills are vital. We offer competitive hourly pay ranging from $17.00 to $25.00 based on experience and qualifications.

As a Front Desk Staff Member at our GI medical office, you will be the first point of contact for patients. Your responsibilities will include greeting patients and assisting with their check-in and check-out processes in a friendly and efficient manner. You will also manage appointment scheduling, including coordinating procedure appointments and confirming them with patients. Handling phone calls with professionalism and courtesy is another key aspect of the role, ensuring that patients receive the information and assistance they require promptly.

Additionally, you will be responsible for collecting and verifying insurance details and co-payments to facilitate smooth billing processes. Maintaining patient charts and performing basic data entry using electronic medical records (EMR) systems will be part of your daily tasks as well. Coordination of referrals, authorizations, and follow-up appointments is essential to ensure patients receive comprehensive care in a timely manner. Beyond these duties, providing general administrative support to the medical team will contribute to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of our office operations.

This position is based in-person at our Whittier location, operating Monday through Friday, making it ideal for individuals seeking stable weekday employment. Whether you are looking for a full-time commitment or part-time hours, we welcome applicants who meet our qualifications and are eager to contribute to our dynamic team. Bilingual abilities, especially in Chinese, will be considered a valuable asset, helping us cater to a broader patient demographic.

Joining our GI medical office means becoming part of a supportive and collaborative healthcare environment where your role is essential in delivering excellent patient care and administrative success. If you are motivated to excel in a fast-paced medical setting and have a passion for helping others, we encourage you to apply for this important front desk position today.
