Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Prior front desk, concierge, customer service or hospitality experience preferred
  • Ability to work flexible schedules based on office needs
  • Excellent customer service and telephone skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to calculate simple figures
  • Outstanding time management and organizational skills
  • Experience or familiarity with healthcare environment and medical insurance preferred
  • Ability to navigate multiple computer systems
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA

Job Duties

  • Greet families professionally both in person and on the phone
  • Answer patient and family questions and seek clarification when needed
  • Access empathy and active listening in difficult interpersonal situations
  • Support patient care quality initiatives as directed
  • Coordinate escalations and urgent issues ensuring timely resolutions
  • Collaborate and communicate with site leadership for complex patient issues
  • Employ PM Pediatric Care's core values to assist patients, families, and team members
  • Monitor and manage patient flow including assisting with self-registration
  • Keep current on workflows, responsibilities, and technology
  • Register all patients and maintain accurate patient accounts while complying with HIPAA
  • Manage incoming patient documents, mail, and correspondence properly
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines
  • Perform opening and closing duties such as organizing, stocking, sanitizing, and reconciling
  • Execute other assigned duties
