Job Requirements

High school diploma or GED
Prior front desk, concierge, customer service or hospitality experience preferred
Ability to work flexible schedules based on office needs
Excellent customer service and telephone skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to calculate simple figures
Outstanding time management and organizational skills
Experience or familiarity with healthcare environment and medical insurance preferred
Ability to navigate multiple computer systems
Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA
Professional and friendly demeanor
Ability to handle urgent and escalated situations
Team player with capacity to work independently in fast-paced settings

Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office Suite
Ability to work flexible schedules and travel to other sites if necessary

Prior front desk, concierge, customer service, or hospitality experience preferred

Job Duties

Greet families professionally both in person and on the phone
Answer patient and family questions and seek clarification when needed
Access empathy and active listening in difficult interpersonal situations
Support patient care quality initiatives as directed
Coordinate escalations and urgent issues ensuring timely resolutions
Collaborate and communicate with site leadership for complex patient issues
Employ PM Pediatric Care's core values to assist patients, families, and team members
Monitor and manage patient flow including assisting with self-registration
Keep current on workflows, responsibilities, and technology
Register all patients and maintain accurate patient accounts while complying with HIPAA
Manage incoming patient documents, mail, and correspondence properly
Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines
Perform opening and closing duties such as organizing, stocking, sanitizing, and reconciling
Execute other assigned duties
