The Front Desk Associate role at WeWork is a vital position that embodies the company's commitment to exceptional hospitality and community building. In this position, the associate is responsible for creating a warm and inclusive community environment, greeting members and their guests (including pets), and proactively addressing their needs. They support the Community Management team with front desk operations such as mail and package handling and assist in maintaining the operational readiness of the building. The role demands adaptability, as responsibilities may vary depending on the location and clientele. The Front Desk Associate is guided by the Community Associate, Community Lead, and Community Manager, contributing to an efficient and friendly workspace.
This role emphasizes strong interpersonal skills, an energetic and engaging approach to in-person interactions, and the ability to multitask effectively while prioritizing member experiences. The successful candidate will be passionate about hospitality, enjoy meeting people from diverse backgrounds, and be confident as the face of the WeWork brand. Proficiency in basic computer skills and excellent verbal and written communication are key. Although prior experience in hospitality, retail, or customer service is preferred, it is not a strict requirement.
Compensation for this role is competitive, with a base hourly pay ranging from $19.00 to $20.00, complemented by the opportunity to participate in an incentive compensation plan specific to the role. Job Requirements
- You have a secondary school certificate which is preferred but not required
- you have worked in hospitality, retail or customer service before which is preferred but not required
- you have strong verbal and written communication skills
- you are comfortable with and proficient in basic computer skills
- you demonstrate and value integrity, dependability, responsibility, accountability, self-awareness, work ethic, and compassion
- you show a passion and understanding of WeWork's mission and values
- you have outstanding interpersonal skills
- you are able to multitask while always prioritizing the member experience

Job Qualifications
- Secondary school certificate preferred but not required

Job Duties
- Greet all members and guests with a warm and welcoming demeanor
- cover the front desk during the building's set business hours and be an on-site point of contact for members, located at the Community Bar
- ensure visiting guests are registered and checked in according to WeWork's guest policies
- provide orientation of our spaces and relevant information to ensure all first-time visitors and guests feel welcome and supported
- support with issuing and collecting keys from members and guests as needed
- keep the front desk clean, organized and free of clutter at all times
- notify members of any food deliveries and packages
- learn the names of members and guests and get to know their businesses to build relationships and foster community
- keep track of relevant member notes and information in WeWork systems
- answer questions from members and guests knowledgeably and offer appropriate WeWork products and solutions
- identify opportunities to celebrate members’ successes and milestones
- know and explain WeWork policies and procedures to members and guests
- know and recommend local restaurants, food delivery services, catering options, and other relevant local resources
- assist with handling mail and packages including receiving, processing, sorting and organizing
- monitor the space and make adjustments such as picking up rubbish, resetting chairs, and straightening pillows
- help maintain building amenities throughout the day including restocking community treats, keycards, and printers
- respond to emergencies and incidents promptly, escalating and recording as needed
- take direction from the Community Associate, Community Lead and Community Manager to support the Community Team as necessary
- be an expert in WeWork products and services and promote WeWork-provided service offerings to members and guests
- illustrate WeWork’s core values and work towards achieving our mission
