Job Description
The hiring establishment is part of a renowned wellness and massage therapy company committed to promoting health and relaxation through specialized bodywork and skin care services. This company operates as a comprehensive wellness provider, offering clients a range of massage, skin care, and stretch services designed to alleviate stress, improve physical function, and enhance overall well-being. Their mission emphasizes the healing benefits of massage therapy and body treatments, ensuring clients receive personalized care matched to their specific needs. The company culture fosters teamwork, collaboration, and a client-centered approach where customer satisfaction and authentic communication are prioritized at every interaction.
The role in focus is that of a Front Desk Associate (FDA), a pivotal position designed to facilitate excellent customer service and operational efficiency at the wellness center. This position is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about health and wellness, particularly those who believe strongly in the therapeutic effects of massage and skin care. The FDA's main responsibility is to engage with clients—both new and returning—using strong communication skills to educate them about various wellness services available. They actively promote memberships, advanced treatment options, enhancements, retail products, and gift cards in a manner that benefits the client while aiming to exceed established performance goals.
FDA team members act as the first point of contact for clients, setting the tone for their treatment experience by greeting clients warmly and professionally and providing expert advice based on the client’s unique needs. They also ensure smooth scheduling and appointment management through proficient use of computerized point of sale systems and customer databases. Beyond administrative tasks, FDA’s collaborate closely with service professionals to customize each client’s wellness plan, including detailed consultations and fostering ongoing client relationships. They are responsible for managing multiple priorities efficiently, maintaining productivity, and supporting location performance improvement initiatives.
The position requires excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills, the ability to manage diverse client inquiries with empathy and professionalism, and adaptability to work flexible hours including weekends. Physical demands include standing, walking, bending, and lifting items over 25 pounds, reflecting the active nature of the front desk role in a high-energy wellness environment. Overall, this role is crucial to maintaining the high standards of customer connection, education, and operational excellence that drive client satisfaction and retention at the company.
