The role of Communications Specialist (Front Desk) at Avery Point is a vital position, acting as the first point of contact for residents, family members, and prospective candidates. This part-time position offers competitive compensation ranging from $17 to $18 per hour, depending on experience, with a schedule focused on Sundays from 8am to 8pm and Mondays from 4pm to 8pm. Job Duties
- Greet and direct residents, visitors, and staff, handle questions and concerns efficiently
- Responsible for logging all resident packages and notifying residents of package pick-up via notice
- Assure all mail is dispatched through U.S. Mail at the end of each day
- Sort and distribute all inter-office mail
- Receive emergency calls from residents and staff and dispatch appropriate personnel
- Page on-call physicians as needed in an accurate and calm manner
- Track status of residents involved in situations such as hospital transport
- Manage resident lists alphabetically and by apartment
- Assist with maintaining accurate census information, hospitalizations, deaths, and tracking residents who are away or returning
