APC is a reputable healthcare provider dedicated to delivering exceptional medical services to its community through a network of well-equipped medical offices. As a prominent establishment in the medical industry, APC is committed to maintaining high standards of patient care and ensuring a smooth operational flow that benefits both patients and medical staff. The company values professionalism, compassion, and efficiency, making it a trusted name for patients seeking quality healthcare support. APC’s medical offices are staffed by experienced professionals focused on creating a welcoming environment where patients feel respected and cared for from the moment they walk through the door.
The Front Desk Associate position at APC plays a crucial role as the initial point of contact for patients visiting the medical office. This role requires an individual who excels in customer service and possesses a background in medical assisting, underscoring the importance of industry knowledge and interpersonal skills. The Front Desk Associate is responsible for greeting patients warmly, managing appointment scheduling, collecting co-payments, and accurately inputting patient data into computer systems. Additionally, this position involves organization and maintenance of the front desk area to ensure a seamless and efficient patient flow throughout the day.
The role demands multitasking abilities and strong organizational skills to handle various administrative duties while maintaining a professional attitude. Travel to additional APC locations may sometimes be necessary to support overall operations, with mileage reimbursement available to compensate for travel expenses. This employment type typically follows a Monday through Friday schedule, approximately from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, within a medical office environment.
A successful Front Desk Associate at APC must exhibit excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact courteously with patients, visitors, and clinical staff. Protecting patient confidentiality by strictly adhering to HIPAA guidelines is paramount. The associate will also manage patient demographic and insurance information, facilitate clinical communications, and maintain accurate financial records by collecting and posting fees as per protocol. Responsibilities also include maintaining office supplies and ensuring the front desk area is prepared for each workday.
This position is well-suited for candidates with previous experience in office administration, preferably with a medical assistant background, and knowledge of medical terminology and insurance practices. The role requires handling multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced healthcare setting, demonstrating flexibility and professionalism amidst changing demands. APC fosters a cooperative work environment, where reliable attendance and the ability to work well with coworkers are essential. Candidates hired for this role will contribute directly to enhancing the patient experience and supporting the operational success of APC’s medical offices.
