The Front Desk Associate position at AC Hotel Denver RiNo is a full-time, non-management role dedicated to delivering excellent guest services in line with the standards set by the Hotel Managers Group. This position serves as the primary point of contact for guests upon arrival and throughout their stay, managing check-ins, check-outs, reservations, and inquiries with professionalism and efficiency. Job Duties

  • Review the Front Desk Log for unusual situations or conditions and communicate with outgoing staff
  • Count money in the cash drawer and sign in for the shift
  • Check the number of occupied rooms using reports
  • Review reservations including groups, room blocks, special requests, and VIPs
  • Assign and block rooms accurately
  • Separate guaranteed reservations from holds and check for duplicates
  • Post telephone, food, and miscellaneous charges to guest folios
  • Review Housekeeping Report for accuracy
  • Verify check-out folios and credit card approvals
  • Notify guests exceeding credit limits and request settlement
  • Prepare guest registration cards for pre-registration
  • Review disputed charges and collaborate for resolution
  • Prepare Shift Deposit Report and secure funds
  • Update Front Desk Log for the next shift
  • Maintain uniform and appearance standards
  • Maintain a cash bank and perform guest accounting
  • Maximize room rates and promote hotel services
  • Inform management of unresolved guest complaints
  • Follow telephone etiquette standards
  • Notify Housekeeping of late check-outs and stay-overs
  • Contact guests not checked out on time
  • Replenish front desk supplies
  • Maintain cleanliness and order at the front desk
  • Collect and sanitize room keys and organize storage
  • Perform additional assigned duties
  • Maintain knowledge of hotel services and events
  • Demonstrate proficiency with front office equipment and software
