Job Description
FirstService Residential is a leading property management company dedicated to transforming the residential community management landscape. Serving over 9,000 residential communities across the United States and Canada, the company prides itself on delivering professional association management services that foster high-quality living experiences for residents. Recognized as a Great Place to Work, FirstService Residential emphasizes associate satisfaction and growth, supporting a diverse and inclusive environment where 19,000 associates benefit from competitive salaries, comprehensive medical, dental, and retirement plans, along with career development and professional training opportunities.
The Resident Services Associate / Front Desk role at FirstService Residential is essential for providing exceptional frontline service as the community ambassador for Rancho Mission Viejo. This position focuses primarily on delivering high-level concierge and customer service to residents, ensuring they experience a welcoming and professional environment throughout their interactions with the community management team. Scheduled from Tuesday to Saturday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, this role is hourly paid between $23 and $25 per hour, varying based on experience, education, and specific job duties.
This role demands excellent communication and telephone skills, combined with a strong customer-oriented approach to respond promptly and courteously to resident inquiries and concerns. The Resident Services Associate plays a vital role in managing amenity reservations, facilitating service requests, and handling facility management responsibilities including monitoring service providers and contractors, and addressing maintenance and operational questions effectively. The position also entails receiving and inspecting materials linked to community projects, liaising with vendors, and supporting community activities such as RanchLife and RanchRide events to ensure smooth execution and readiness.
Key responsibilities extend beyond daily operations to include documentation management through activity logs, incident and management reports, aiding investigations, and maintaining rigorous risk management protocols. The Associate collaborates closely with the Resident Services Manager, Operations Manager, and General Manager to enhance service levels by evaluating resident feedback for continuous improvement, and ensuring community policies and procedures are upheld in a professional and ethical manner.
This position emphasizes strong organizational skills, independent decision-making, and the ability to multitask efficiently while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism. Experience working with a 55+ demographic and certifications in CPR and First Aid are valued, alongside a preference for bilingual Spanish skills. Physical demands include the ability to sit or stand for long periods, lift up to 35 pounds, and perform under pressure, set within an office environment at the onsite community facility. The role requires flexibility as evening and weekend participation in meetings or events may be necessary.
FirstService Residential offers a comprehensive benefits package for eligible employees, including medical, dental, and vision plans, 401K matching, paid time off, tuition reimbursement, pet insurance, and supportive wellness programs. This role is an excellent opportunity for candidates passionate about community engagement and property management who wish to grow their careers with a trusted industry leader.
