The Front Desk Associate position at the Hampton Inn & Suites LAX/El Segundo is a vital role within the property department, reporting directly to the General Manager. This hourly role offers a competitive pay scale ranging from $12.93 to $24.29 per hour, depending on the state and local market. The position primarily focuses on providing outstanding customer service by assisting guests with the check-in and check-out process and attending to their needs throughout their stay. The role requires proficiency in the hotel's electronic reservation system and other computer programs to maintain an efficient workflow.

In addition to administrative responsibilities, Front Desk Associates handle financial transactions with accuracy and integrity, including credit card and cash payments. The position demands strong interpersonal skills to anticipate guest needs and enhance their overall experience. Team collaboration is crucial to maintaining a hospitable and welcoming environment for all guests, emphasizing the importance of working closely with other hotel staff members. This role is physically demanding and requires standing, sitting, walking, bending, lifting, and squatting for extended periods. Travel requirements are minimal, typically limited to the property and surrounding area. Job Qualifications

  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to work well with others and be part of a team
  • Strong problem-solving and guest service abilities
  • Previous experience in hospitality or customer service preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Job Duties

  • Assist guests in the check-in and check-out procedure, as well as, throughout the entirety of their stay
  • Work proficiently on the hotels electronic reservation system, as well as, other computer programs to ensure a seamless workflow
  • Handle all financial matters including credit card and cash transactions securely, accurately, and with the utmost integrity
  • Anticipate guests needs and go out of your way to maximize the guest experience
  • Work collectively with other team members to foster a hospitable, approachable, and customer-focused environment for our guests
