Through decades of dedicated service, the company has earned a reputation as a premier provider of exceptional hospitality and concession services across the United States. Guest Services operates in a diverse array of environments, including luxury communities, hotels, resorts, government and business dining facilities, full-service restaurants, state and national parks, outdoor recreation areas, boathouses, marinas, museums, conference centers, senior living communities, health care systems, as well as school and university dining services and specialty retail stores. This extensive portfolio highlights Guest Services' expansive reach and expertise in managing hospitality and service programs with professionalism and excellence.

As a company, Guest Services is firmly committed to fostering a diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplace. The organization prides itself on embracing diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) as core values that enrich the company culture and strengthen its ability to serve a broad and varied customer base effectively. The company ensures equal employment and promotion opportunities for all qualified individuals regardless of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or protected veteran status. This commitment positions Guest Services not only as a leader in hospitality management but also as an employer of choice that values and supports its workforce comprehensively.

The role of the Front Desk Agent at Guest Services is central to the guest experience and overall operational efficiency. This hourly position, compensated at $14.50 per hour, demands strong customer service skills, organizational ability, and multi-tasking capability. The Front Desk Agent serves as the key point of contact for guests and visitors and is responsible for a variety of reception and administrative duties including checking guests and vendors in and out, managing reservations, handling switchboard operations, and coordinating with housekeeping. The role requires maintaining a welcoming and professional demeanor at all times, providing accurate information about services, rates, and availability, as well as addressing and resolving guest inquiries and complaints within the scope of authority.

In addition to guest interaction, the Front Desk Agent handles financial transactions such as ensuring all cash and cash equivalents are balanced at the start and end of each shift and verifying that charges are accurately posted to guest accounts. The position also involves managing walk-in customer traffic, signing in visitors, and up-selling room rates when applicable. This role demands keen attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment where multitasking is a daily requirement.

Physically, the job entails frequent movement within the work area, the ability to lift and carry moderately heavy items, and endurance to stand or sit for extended periods. The Front Desk Agent uses a variety of typical office equipment such as computers, phone systems, fax machines, copiers, scanners, and specialized reservation and point-of-sale (POS) systems. The essential nature of this role is reflected in the need for constant communication with staff and guests, making physical presence and attentive customer service indispensable components of performance.

Overall, the Front Desk Agent position at Guest Services offers an excellent opportunity for individuals seeking to work in a dynamic and supportive hospitality environment. The role not only provides a platform for honing customer service skills but also opens doors for growth and development within a well-established company dedicated to excellence in hospitality management.
