Job Requirements

  • Six months to one year of related experience or training
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret procedure manuals
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Problem-solving skills to handle diverse guest situations
  • Proficiency in operating Property Management and PBX systems
  • Ability to stand, walk, and talk frequently
  • Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
  • Commitment to personal hygiene and professional presentation
  • Ability to balance cash and reconcile daily financial transactions
  • Willingness to work in a moderate noise environment

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Six months to one year of related experience or training
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret procedure manuals
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to respond to guest inquiries

  • Proficiency in Property Management Systems (PMS) and PBX operation
  • Accountability for cash handling and daily reconciliation

Job Duties

  • Provide high level of customer service
  • Conduct pre-assignment of hotel rooms including VIPs, repeat guests, packages, and special requests
  • Check in and out hotel guests in a confident, professional and friendly manner
  • Answer all phone calls promptly and accurately
  • Complete AM, PM, and third shift checklists by the end of each shift
  • Follow established key control policy
  • Ensure guest-facing presentation standards including uniforms and personal hygiene
  • Verify and enforce proper credit policies and credit limits
  • Submit lost and found reports
  • Maintain knowledge of fire and emergency procedures
  • Open, secure, and balance daily shift bank transactions
  • Monitor room availability and hotel selling status using yield management system
  • Attend monthly department meetings
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless hotel services
  • Provide guests with information and make arrangements for dining, entertainment, tours, and other services
  • Process guest mail, messages, and facsimiles
