The brand prides itself on creating meaningful connections between guests and their surroundings, encouraging visitors to discover the diverse offerings and stories of each location. As part of IHG (InterContinental Hotels Group), one of the world's leading hotel companies, Hotel Indigo offers a welcoming and vibrant atmosphere in a boutique hotel setting that appeals to travelers seeking authentic and enriching experiences.
The Front Desk Agent position at Hotel Indigo plays a crucial role in shaping the first and lasting impression of guests. From the moment guests arrive, the Front Desk Agent is the centerpiece of their journey, providing warm welcomes, fluid check-in and check-out processes, and attentive service throughout their stay. This role is centered on anticipating and meeting guests' needs with a blend of hospitality, efficiency, and local knowledge. Operating in a dynamic hotel environment, the Front Desk Agent is expected to manage bookings, handle payment transactions, support IHG Rewards Club members, and proactively resolve concerns to ensure a seamless and enjoyable experience.
The position is hourly, with a pay rate of $25, accompanied by an attractive benefits package that includes paid time off, medical, dental, and vision insurance, and a 401(k) retirement plan. The Front Desk Agent must be friendly, approachable, and possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Fluency in the local language is essential, while proficiency in additional languages is a plus. Candidates should be literate and comfortable with technology, as the role involves managing computer systems, handling bookings, and processing payments. Flexibility is also critical, as shifts may include nights, weekends, and holidays.
Applicants should ideally have at least one year of experience in guest services or front desk roles and a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent. Physical strength to handle lifting or moving objects up to 50 lbs is sometimes required. The Front Desk Agent will act as a brand ambassador for Hotel Indigo, maintaining a professional appearance and staying well-informed about onsite events and local activities. This position also requires adherence to safety protocols at all times.

The brand welcomes diverse backgrounds and perspectives, fostering an inclusive work environment where team members feel valued and motivated. If you possess a passion for hospitality and are committed to delivering exceptional service, the Front Desk Agent role at Hotel Indigo offers an exciting opportunity to grow your career in a dynamic and guest-focused setting. Even if you feel you don’t meet every qualification, the company invites you to apply, recognizing potential and eagerness alongside experience.
