Job Description

Reside Craftsman, A Wyndham Residence, located at 208 W. 8th Street in Los Angeles, CA, is a distinguished leader in the alternative accommodations industry. Reside offers an innovative blend of hotel and apartment experiences, aiming to deliver multi-platform housing solutions that emphasize both efficiency and personalized service. With operations spanning over 200 cities in the United States and 130 international destinations, Reside combines the agility and high-touch attention of a boutique company with the broad capabilities of a global hospitality leader. The company's commitment to exceptional guest experiences, combined with its dynamic approach to property management, makes it a premier choice for guests and a desirable employer for hospitality professionals. This role is part-time, typically requiring 16 hours per week across various shifts, offering competitive hourly compensation ranging from $25.63 to $31.25. The schedule includes one 8-hour shift and two 4-hour shifts each week, with flexibility to accommodate business needs including holidays and alternate workdays. Shifts may be during the day, afternoon/evening, or overnight, reflecting the varied demands of the hospitality environment.

The Front Desk Agent at Reside Craftsman plays a vital role in ensuring guests receive attentive, courteous, and efficient service from the moment of check-in through check-out. This position demands a detail-oriented approach to managing guest billing and financial reconciliation, as well as strong organizational skills to support the property’s operational goals. Agents are responsible for maximizing room revenue and occupancy through effective guest interaction and operational support. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent communication abilities, adept problem-solving skills, and the flexibility to work various shifts, including overnight hours. Responsibilities encompass greeting guests warmly, handling all aspects of reservations, billing, and auditing daily financial transactions to maintain accuracy in records. The Front Desk Agent also serves as a liaison between guests and various property departments, promptly responding to inquiries about services, facilities, and local attractions. Maintaining adherence to company policies related to cash handling and audits, as well as ensuring the front desk and lobby area standards, are integral aspects of the role. Although the position does not include supervising other employees, cross-training and collaboration with team members are encouraged to foster a supportive work environment. Minimal travel, up to 5% of the time, may be required for this role. This position is suited for individuals with a high school diploma or equivalent, preferably with some hospitality coursework or related experience. Prior experience in hotel front office operations or overnight auditing is an advantage, alongside proficiency with computer and property management systems. Candidates should possess strong customer service skills, a professional demeanor, attention to detail, and the ability to manage confidential information while prioritizing tasks independently or within a team setting. The work environment involves engaging with guests and staff in a professional hotel setting, with variable noise levels and busy periods depending on occupancy. Physical demands include the ability to perform light lifting, standing or sitting for extended periods, and handling repetitive tasks using technology. Reside offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401k with employer match, paid holidays and vacation time, and various employee programs focused on growth and well-being. The company is an equal opportunity employer committed to inclusivity and legal compliance, with employment subject to verification and background checks. Reside maintains a drug-free workplace and invites candidates who align with its values to join its hospitality team.
