Currently, the Crowne Plaza Minneapolis West is seeking a dedicated and customer-focused Front Desk Agent to join their dynamic team. This position is pivotal in shaping the guest experience, serving as the first point of contact for visitors and ensuring their stay is smooth and enjoyable. The role involves delivering superior hospitality and service by efficiently managing guest reservations, check-ins, and check-outs. The Front Desk Agent acts as a liaison between guests and the hotel, maximizing guest room revenues and satisfaction through courteous and effective service. The position offers flexibility with both AM and PM shifts available, accommodating a variety of schedules. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of the Front Office Manager (FOM) to uphold company standards and contribute positively to the hotel's mission. This role demands strong communication skills, an energetic and sales-oriented mindset, and a genuine passion for hospitality. The agent will also be responsible for various administrative tasks, such as managing cash operations, processing messages and packages, and coordinating with housekeeping and maintenance departments. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- One year past audit or front desk experience preferred
- State requirements for licenses or certificates
- Neat, clean, and professional appearance
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Commitment to hospitality standards

- Ability to work as a team member
- Ability to perform multiple activities with speed and accuracy
- Dependable and flexible
- Basic accounting knowledge
- Typing skills of at least 30 words per minute
- Honesty and ability to handle cash responsibilities

Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Provide superior hospitality and service to ensure an easy and satisfying guest reservation process
- Provide superior hospitality and service to ensure an easy and satisfying guest check-in and check-out process
- Maximize guest room revenues and guest satisfaction by providing efficient and courteous front desk service
- Register and process guests promptly upon their arrival to ensure guest satisfaction
- Perform all guest accounting functions according to established hotel operating procedures
- Verify all guest and house accounts are complete and accurate
- Accept responsibility for accurately maintaining a cash bank
- Process checkouts in a timely and efficient manner
- Reconcile daily posting and transactions and submit a balanced deposit
- Complete deposit log with witness
- Demonstrate a working knowledge of all services and facilities of the hotel as well as those of the local area
- Issue safe deposit boxes to guests upon request according to standard operating procedure
- Properly process guest messages, mail, packages, and confirm receipt by guests
- Adhere to all established credit, check cashing, cash handling, and inventory control policies to minimize revenue loss
- Confirm all guests establish credit upon check-in
- Monitor guest accounts to verify adherence to hotel credit limits
- Utilize appropriate suggestive selling techniques
- Receive and process reservations accurately to ensure guest satisfaction
- Review all reservations and assign rooms based on availability, special requests, and hotel promotions
- Assist all guests in a sincere and courteous manner consistent with Regency Culture of Service Training
- Answer phones at front desk according to established procedures
- Coordinate and notify housekeeping of checkouts, late checkouts, early check-ins, special requests, and part-day rooms
- Attend department meetings
- Coordinate guest room maintenance work with the maintenance department
- Maintain the cleanliness and neatness of the front desk area
- Other duties as assigned
