The company is currently seeking a dedicated Front Desk Agent to join the team at The Westin Great Southern Hotel. This role is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about hospitality and guest service. The Front Desk Agent will be the welcoming face of the hotel, responsible for greeting guests warmly, accurately registering them, and ensuring a smooth check-out process. By performing these tasks with the highest standards of professionalism, the agent will directly contribute to the hotel’s goal of delivering outstanding service and maximizing financial performance.
The role requires a thorough knowledge of hotel operations, including familiarity with room categories, rates, packages, promotions, and local area information. The Front Desk Agent will use up-selling techniques to enhance occupancy and revenue, respond promptly to guest inquiries, and adeptly resolve any issues or complaints to guarantee guest satisfaction. This position demands excellent interpersonal and computer skills, flexibility to work various shifts including evenings and weekends, and a team-oriented mindset.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in hotel front desk or related customer service role
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in computer systems and point-of-sale technology
- Flexibility to work varied shifts including weekends and evenings
- Ability to handle cash and process diverse payment methods
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Team player mindset
Job Qualifications
- Prior experience as a Front Desk Agent in a hotel or high volume customer service industry
- Excellent customer service skills
- Strong computer proficiency
- Ability to work various shifts including days, evenings, and weekends
- Team-oriented attitude
- Passion for creating memorable guest experiences
- Knowledge of Marriott brand properties is a plus
Job Duties
- Greet guests and complete the registration process including inputting and retrieving guest information from the computer
- Confirm guest information and room rate
- Select and assign rooms
- Code electronic keys
- Assist guests with check-out including verifying room charges and services
- Use point-of-sale system to handle money and process payments including credit/debit cards and gift certificates
- Convert foreign currency and make change
- Demonstrate thorough knowledge of hotel information including room categories, rates, packages, and local area
- Answer guest questions and inquiries
- Use up-selling techniques to promote hotel services and facilities
- Respond to guest inquiries and requests promptly
- Resolve guest complaints efficiently and professionally
- Conduct research and negotiate solutions for guest satisfaction
