The role of the Guest Service Agent/Front Desk Agent primarily involves being the first point of contact for hotel guests, greeting and registering them with warmth and professionalism. This position plays a critical role in ensuring that guests have a smooth check-in and check-out process and that overall guest satisfaction is maintained throughout their stay. Responsibilities include handling confidential guest information with integrity, efficiently managing guest requests and complaints, and accurately maintaining various records such as cash flows, registration cards, and reservation details. The agent is also responsible for answering and routing phone calls accurately, managing the cash drawer during their shifts, and assisting with sales and marketing initiatives under the direction of the General Manager. Other duties include organizing wake-up calls, maintaining cleanliness in the lobby and common areas, replenishing the continental breakfast area, and performing laundry functions as assigned.
