As a Front Desk Agent at Sundance Resort, you will serve as the essential first point of contact for guests, playing a pivotal role in shaping their overall impression of the resort. This position requires a graceful and professional demeanor, coupled with a sincere dedication to providing luxury hospitality. You will be responsible for ensuring seamless arrivals and departures, delivering warm and personalized service that reflects the resort's prestigious reputation. You will collaborate closely with the Front Office team and other departments, coordinating guest services and concierge requests with precision and care. Your role involves managing group arrivals, handling financial transactions accurately, and maintaining operational excellence in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
This role offers variable shifts based on occupancy levels, with coverage required between 6:30 am and 12:00 am, often involving shifts of approximately 9 hours each. Candidates must be available to work weekends and holidays, underscoring the commitment to continuous, year-round guest service. The position is part-time or full-time and classified as non-exempt hourly work, with a pay rate of $17.00 per hour plus upgrade commissions, reflecting the value placed on exceptional service. Job Requirements
- Must perform essential duties satisfactorily
- TIPS certification required
- Excellent communication skills
- Previous front desk experience
- Knowledge of Springer Miller System helpful
- Computer proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets, internet navigation, and email
- Ability to use two-way radios
- Valid U.S. driver's license
- Must stand and walk for extended periods
- Must be 21 years or older
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, occasionally 100 lbs
- Must be able to work weekends and holidays
- Ability to handle guest interactions professionally
- Commitment to sustainability and environmental awareness
Job Qualifications
- Must perform essential duties satisfactorily with reasonable accommodations for disabilities
- TIPS certification or willingness to obtain it for onsite alcohol service
- Excellent organizational, communication, task management, and leadership skills
- Previous front desk experience preferred
- Resort experience preferred or minimum six months related experience
- Proficiency in computer applications including word processing, spreadsheets, internet navigation, and electronic mail
- Knowledge of SMS system and ability to use two-way radios
- Valid U.S. driver's license in good standing
- Ability to stand, walk, reach, stoop, kneel, and lift up to 50 lbs with occasional 100 lbs
- Close and color vision required
- Must be 21 years or older
Job Duties
- Elevate the guest experience by providing a polished and inviting front desk presence
- Deliver warm, personalized service that embodies Sundance's luxury hospitality standards
- Anticipate and fulfill guest needs proactively and efficiently
- Manage flawless arrival and departure procedures including check-ins and check-outs for Sundance Cottages
- Assist guests with recommendations and reservations for resort activities
- Recognize VIP and repeat guests with elevated service and thoughtful touches
- Coordinate seamlessly with bell staff, concierge, and other departments to ensure exceptional service delivery
- Handle guest concerns with discretion, professionalism, and efficiency
- Secure and accurately process guest payments and maintain billing accuracy
- Support sustainability initiatives by educating guests on environmental efforts and resort policies
