Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum 1 year experience in hospitality or customer service preferred
  • proficiency in English language
  • ability to stand and walk for long periods
  • experience using hotel property management software preferably Opera
  • strong communication skills
  • ability to handle stressful situations
  • availability to work flexible shifts including evenings, weekends and holidays
  • adherence to safety protocols including use of protective equipment when required

Job Qualifications

  • 1 year hotel or resort front desk experience preferred
  • reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language
  • solid interpersonal skills and positive attitude
  • computer experience preferably with Opera
  • ability to stand and walk continuously
  • clear and professional communication skills
  • ability to listen effectively and write clearly
  • detail oriented and sales focused
  • ability to detect signs of emergency
  • familiarity with Scottsdale and Arizona areas
  • adherence to occupational safety and health practices

Job Duties

  • display a friendly, courteous and professional manner in all dealings with guests and employees
  • welcome and register guests with emphasis on fulfilling requests and adhering to credit policies
  • quote and manage room and rate availability for current and future dates
  • complete room reservations accurately distinguishing between residences and hotel bookings
  • participate actively in the hotel up-sell program during guest arrival and departure
  • recite information regarding Mountain Shadows facilities, hours, events and personnel
  • assist owners with use options and concierge-type requests
  • handle multiple telephone calls and communicate directions effectively
  • manage check-ins and check-outs according to procedures
  • reconcile cash transactions and maintain balanced bank
  • communicate requests to support departments
  • handle guest complaints in conjunction with management
  • perform other tasks delegated by management
